Our priorities for CWA Local 7200
We are committed to strong representation, consistent contract enforcement, and protecting and growing good union jobs across every bargaining unit. Explore our priorities for the new term and the work we will continue doing to keep Local 7200 strong, informed, connected, and ready for the future.
Core pillars of our platform
We will continue building on our proven record of strong representation—standing with members in the workplace, protecting and improving our contracts, and strengthening our union community.
Growing our union
Organizing new bargaining units and securing strong first collective bargaining agreements to expand our collective bargaining power and give more workers an authentic voice.
Standing up for ALL members
Pursuing and winning workplace grievances with experienced leadership to aggressively defend negotiated rights, maintain fair working conditions, and protect earned benefits.
Building for the future
Managing our resources with financial responsibility, upgrading our union hall, and maintaining a welcoming central hub for critical meetings, steward trainings, and member events.
Building on Our Progress
A strong union is built on experienced leadership, consistent representation, and a commitment to every member. Our leadership team will continue building on the progress we’ve made—strengthening representation across every bargaining unit, protecting good union jobs, expanding organizing efforts, and improving communication so members stay informed and connected.
Easy Access to information
One of our priorities for the new term is restoring and improving the Local 7200 website, giving members a dependable, easy-to-use resource for important union information. Members will have convenient access to collective bargaining agreements, bargaining-unit updates, steward contacts, meeting schedules, grievance resources, and other information they need—all in one place.
Protecting work and organizing technicians
We will continue the critical campaign to organize Forged Fiber technicians, ensuring these workers gain collective representation, job security, and union protection. At the same time, we will maintain our active leadership in the Plant Pride Program with Lumen—born out of the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission proceedings—to protect quality technical jobs, address infrastructure needs, and ensure frontline voices guide the future.
